There are many different types of computers, with different combinations of operating systems and hardware and such available.

This course should be accessable to everyone, but it is difficult to create instructions that will work for every person.

To account for this, we will provide a USB stick with linux installed.

You can run linux from the USB stick instead of running a computer as usual. It will use the resources of the machine.

To do this we:

1. Turn off the computer
2. Insert the USB stick
3. turn on the computer and press and hold the 'boot' selection button
4. select the usb stick and boot from it.

This will now start the linux OS from the USB stick.
